What are startup founder archetypes?

The startup founder archetypes are leaders that entrepreneurs look up to. These are people that we have known all throughout our lives. It’s the realization of these people that helps us pivot. The masters were always there. The goal in life is to accept their greatness, and remember all the time we spend, thinking about their thoughts and patterns. This is a blessing. I think about my country leaders, the bhutto family, I think about my music gurus, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, left handed guitarists. I am left handed and stayed left handed, while picking my guitar.

I think about my startup gurus, Michael Birch from Bebo.com, because of his influence and Dave McClure, when I started on my startup, and Akash Garg, whom I worked very closely with at hi5.com. Without their influence, I wouldn’t be where I am at. So if I would ever be great, I will always be thankful for those startup founder archetypes. Remember, you have to have successful students to become great leaders. I see people like Eric Ries, writing books about being a leader. However, if you are a leader, you don’t have to blow your own horn, let someone else write the book and validate your greatness. This is how the yoga gurus operated. If a guru is established in one area, find another area to divide and conquer. There is no competition. Be a good friend, as you promised. Help in areas, where your friend is deficient. That’s the divide and conquer pattern, but only a few understand. How to understand the human qualities within people, and help them outshine. Because in the process, your greatness gets magnified. Look at Dr Dre, and his relationship with Snoop Dogg and Eminem.

True from the heart, help the brother, and push each other towards greatness. Be there in the down moment, as well as outshine greatness time. This creates passion, a fire, which is necessary for entrepreneurship. When you look in the eyes of Lebron James, you find fire. When you look in the eyes of Dave McClure, you find love. When you look in the eyes of Michael Birch, you see focus. You cannot be a startup archetypes, if you can’t accept greatness of the ones that came before. This is the guru disciple, teacher student, relationship defined in Vedanta, the parent of yoga, defined thousands of years ago. Do it from the heart, with love and see how far that goes.
